This app isn’t just beautiful. It’s rooted in what children and families truly need.
Develop stronger emotional self-awareness
Improve their ability to regulate stress
Build more secure attachments
Strengthen the parts of the brain tied to learning and executive function
Most apps are for adults. Some are for children. Rarely are they for both — and almost never for the sacred space between them.
For Parent and Child Together
A private space for reflection, journaling, and gentle insights.
A ritual space for parent and child: listening, choosing rituals, answering story-based questions like “Which part of Ember’s journey felt like yours today?”
Drawn by our daughter.
She created it herself — naming what she felt this space should be: a place where imagination lives outside the lines.
Her drawings appear as icons and sketches within the app, her voice woven throughout — a giggle, a whisper, or a favorite line. These touches remind families that this is not just content for children, but a co-created space for both parent and child.
River & Ember is not a teaching tool, not a tracker, not gamified growth. It is a tending tool. A way to slow down, even for just five minutes, to share story, ritual, art, and presence.
Not Screen Time. Sacred Time.
A Lantern to Light the Way
Begin the journey with a free story snippet and family ritual from River & Ember — a first glimpse of the seasonal toolkits to come.
Every River & Ember story tends more than one flame.
